The Approach and Landing Techniques

To close a flight you must land the aircraft and bring it to a full stop. Approach and landing is a very crucial phase of flight. There is not a pilot who never did a bad landing. each and every pilot must have experienced it at least once. and one should bear in mind a good landing comes from a good approach. a good approach is a stabilized approach. a stabilized approach stable in the vertical and the horizontal speed. a 3 degree approach angle is desirable depending on the type of approach you are flying. the approach speed is essential during approach as it will determine your rate of flaring, your round out height and also your ground roll and braking efficiency. Most of the beginner pilots could not maintain a good approach speed. the optimum approach speed is 1.3 of the configuration stall speed. this speed should be maintained all the way until touch down so that aircraft pitching response is less sensitive (low pitching rate and hence easier for us to measure the amount of control input needed during the flare/ unit step input and/or unit impulse input) and you have ample time to think on many other things.A repetition from above, when we enter the flaring part at low speed the aircraft is less sensitive in the pitching attitude and we can control it without jerking the control and hence avoiding the aircraft from ballooning or bouncing.
the reasons that caused ballooning and bouncing are:

1) high rate of descent and bouncy gears.
2) high speed approach and/or power.
3) over-controlling the aircraft (incorrect flare technique result in jerking the control)

Although it is possible to land the aircraft at high speed, the pitching attitude must be well controlled to avoid the aircraft from ballooning. to cushion the landing we reduce the aircraft rate of descent by increasing the pitching attitude and at the same time airspeed reducing. one last thing is to hold off the control column or joystick and wait the aircraft to touch the ground.

Im getting on my nerves as my PPL Test is on this 7th Aug.

straight from my heart i only fly 3 times a week, and it is a very slow progress. my parents already told me that they want me to finish fast and work as soon as possible. there is nothing much i can do cause flying is not only about you. it has many factors that should be taken into considerations when we talk about flying. firstly, you have to make sure that the weather permits you to fly under VFR. as far as i know kelantan is very prone to bad weather as the airport is situated in the coastal line. secondly, the aircraft serviceability. not all aircraft are serviceable for a particular day, at worst it can only be one aircraft serviceable and so you got to share among 5plus other cadets per day just to get precious 1 hour of flying. finally is the instructors availability. during your PPL stage, most of your flying will be dual flying with instructors. as for me i fly DA40, and not all instructors can fly it. so i have to bear with it again. i have finished all my ppl exercises except my GH11 and my PPL test which will be held on this year inpendence day celebration.hahahaha.so hopefully it is going to be another victory la for me as a malay and as a malaysian.

Every Citizens Responsibility to Vote

It is good to get yourself into the global and current issues. Malaysia is our country and we are responsible for its future. the nations future is in our hand. too many youth out there who are already reach 21and very busy condemning the government here and there. but when we ask them, have you registered? their answer will be a not yet. it our responsibility. freedom comes with responsibility. it is not a point to shout your opinion here and there, equipped yourself with knowledge and skill first. prove that you can lead the nation then we will talk about it. a good leader comes from a good educations. we as a Malay Muslim people must stand straight and fight to defend our   own country. we must think like a pro. how are we going to help our friends in Palestine for example if we are still fighting with our own type in our own country. come on youth, prove that we are the next leader of this country. do not be fooled. it is important for a democracy country like malaysia. besides the politicians responsibility, actually we are the one who determine its future. i have  lot of friends who has been sponsored by JPA just to further their study. one more time im begging them, do not forget where u came from. i had a talk with some of them, they were like didnt care about the political situations in malaysia. they were even reluctant to register as voters. a registered voter doesnt mean you are active in politics. it is just a single responsibility. come on!! youth..be thankfull for what we have..kick away all the bad thinking and the dark envious side inside you. think whats gonna happen if let say we are no the one governing our own country. dont be a looser..Malay stand forever. im here just to wake you up guys. Satan and the geng are now very close in our community. Beware.!!

whatever it is, how much love you wanna put in your spouse bear in mind its only temporary. So, never love anyone or anything more than you love THE ALMIGHTY. easy to speak of it erm. thats the best for us as we are made from clay and only the brilliant one will keep remembering to Him. Life after death is another one. We as a muslim must be able to square the excellence in life and after life. we must keep praying for both of it. insyALLAH with Gods permissions we will achieve what we want to achieve. so all the teenagers out there who are still searching for the true meaning of life as a muslim, never turn back from hadith and sunnah. insyALLAH ul discover what uve been looking for. Asm and selamat malam. im taking off now. good luck my friends. =))) we care for our own generations.

Flying with Army Style.=)

There a mass brief before every flight and there is de-brief after every flight. for 0100hrs sortie it will take about 3 hours including the briefing and the preparations. Flying in Ipoh is a great experience with the mountain areas and the cup shape runway. I flew with an instructor, and during the flight there is no rooms for mistake. I have to give my 100%. As a pilot i have to be 100% mentally and physically fit to carry out and complete the task or missions given. There is checklist, theres the procedures, everything has to be memorized. it is the life that i have to live with to be an airline pilot.=). there will be no regret nor sad during the training as my ambitions at the top of everything. a good pilot always learn. so, i wanna learn and theres no end for it. keep learning keep improving insyAllah ul be in control of it. theres calculations done by the designers and  engineers on the aircraft operations. as a pilot we have to follow exactly every things written in the POH and the checklist. and not forgetting the SOP. i like to fly and learn at the same time. this will strengthen my knowledge in aeronautical and a better chance to be a good pilot. Pilot is a man in uniform who is punctual and discipline. I have control. =) keep it up man.

 Apac 4252 with 30. hehe

Theres the warm between ATC and Pilot.

If there is no other things to do in WMKI. me and my friends would find something that can be episodic. we decided to pay a visit to the WMKI tower. Many thing has been exposed to us during the visit. Aviation is a collaboration between expertise in many different small areas such as controller, flying and designing, and MRO.
Especially piloting, your responsibility is very high. all the efforts thats has been put now it depends on you to make it a success or a spoil. =)

Tuan Shahrul.=)

Life in Ipoh. Was the 1st time in full control of the aircraft. alone. my first solo.=)

It was the time i flew with an instructor for the solo check. alhamdulillah i passed the check. i was granted to do my first circuit solo. at the apron, preparing myself and the aircraft, il be flying the DA-40 9M-NRC. After all the radio call has been made i started taxing into the runway. then i kept praying so that il be safe. =)
it was 12 at noon. it was very gusty. before airborne my aircraft drifted. huhuhu. its ok as long as its airborne. at 70kts, positive roc, i retract the flaps. heres the fear arised. i felt the aircraft is sinking not as usual, i can see the road below me very close to me. if there was a lorry passing by for sure il hit it. hehehehe. i checked everything, loads, speeds, all is ok. then i just pray. trim up and alhamdulillah the aircraft climb. what came up to my mind was the aircraft ECU wasnt working very well. during the downwind its ok base turn and finally. during the final, there was crosswind. i determined and with all the preparations im confident i can land the aircraft. i used crab technique, during touch down theres slight drifting due to wind ( should correct it with one wheel touch first) but alhamdulillah there is no bouncing. huhuhu. what ever it is i can FLYYY!!!

fOndest One!!
